The ImageMaker MJ CD-R Production System is a sophisticated solution to your CD-r production needs -- whether you're making hundreds of copies of existing CDs or producing hundreds of different CDs for individual customers. Each system is built ot your exact requirements. Start small with a twso-drive configuration. Go right to the top with seventeen drives. Or combine ImageMaker with the ImageAutomator CD handler for a fully automated system capable of unattended operation.
Multiple Data Sources, Multiple Copies at Once
The master used to make CDs can come from many possible sources: a CD, magnetic tape, optical disk, or files from a remote computer system via a network. When CD copies are made, this master can be copied to many writers at once. Care is taken throughout the copying process to ensure that each final copy is an exact duplicate of the source data.
System Configuration
ImageMaker MJ can be configured with up to 17 writers for raw production capacity, or extra readers can be added for flexibility.
Quality Components
Each ImageMaker is a complete stand-alone system with a state-of-the-art Intel CPU and dedicated hardware and software. Components are industry standard, so they are stable, reliable, and easy to service.
Data Verification
Several levels of error detection/correction and verification ensure that each CD-R produced is a 100% accurate copy of the original data. The CD readers and writers contain sopisticated circuitry to catch and correct errors as discs are read and as copies are made. ImageMaker adds its own layers of verification. A unique checksum is generated for each master and used to check each copy. And an optional verification pass compares each copy byte-by-byte against the master.
Progress Reports
Job name, disc quantity, discs remaining, time to complete, and the status of each drive are on the screen at all times. Management and productivity reports include drive-by-drive statistics, mastering history, and job summaries detailed by operator or job time.
Upgrade Path
ImageMaker MJ is designed to be modular at both the hardware and software levels, so capability can be upgraded easily as production requirements grow -- whether it is adding a new facility such as printing, expanding the number of writers, or accommodating new formats such as DVD.
ImageMaker Software
Whether you're looking to automate backup of large files from mainframe systems, customize software on a customer-by-customer basis, or simply create a handful of CDs of beta software, Microtech's Windows NT-based Systems make it easy to integrate CD production with virtually all other networkable systems.
- Easy connection to any type of network, including TCP/IP, Netware, Unix NFS, Banyan, and others.
- To improve system throughput on short runs you can process simultaneous jobs. Making many "one-offs" is as fast as making many copies of one master.
- Any node on a network or on the Internet can originate jobs on the system through Microtech's CD-Remote application.
- Work orders from your system are automated, with alerts when processing is complete.
- CD masters can be created across the network with your software or Microtech's. Microtech automatically pulls the image to a local hard drive before making copies, reducing network traffic for fastest possible CD creation.
- CD printing prints graphics and text on each disc. Each printed disc can be customized with text supplied from the user. Printing is overlapped with CD burning and does not reduce system throughput.
Premastering Included
ImageMaker systems include MasterMakertm, the pre-mastering package for professinal applications.
